Quality is considered from the very beginning of the coffee process. We believe that the correct green bean selection makes all the difference in the final flavour outcome. To uphold our high standards of business practice we go out of our way to support sustainable coffee farming, working closly with our importers and farmers at origin. 

Key influential factors include fair wages among coffee pickers, low environmental impact, paying a fair price per kilo, and supply chain transparency. Every one of our green bean producers is special and we continually work to build beneficial, long-term relationships with an open door, transparent policy.

Our coffee blends are made up of 2-3 origins. Our origins include specialty grade Brazilian, Colombian and Peruvian Coffees. We roast each origin separately, to maximize the flavour of that coffee. We blend the origins to our specified recipes only after they have been roasted. We are one of the very few contract coffee roasters who have adopted this specialty coffee roasting method.

To uphold our high standards of consistant coffee flavour, our coffee professionals team gathers at least once a week to cup and score all our roasts for that week. All our cuppings are in accord with the SCA (Specialty Coffee Associations) .

To monitor every second of the roasting process we have implemented Cropster. This program allows the roaster to see, gauge and control the temperature and airflow in the roasting drum. This way every roast is consistent and so if your customers coffee flavour!

This innovation is the first of its kind to be able to analyze the measurement of moisture, density, temperature, color score and scale of a coffee bean. We are proud to have one of these incredible machines in our roastry to enhance our quality control practices.

As owners to the first of these machines in Autralia we love the way that this small but mighty machine’s technology allows us to control the pressure flow and temparature across a given amount of time, meaning we can mirror any coffee machines settings!
